EXERCISES OF PRACTICAL LIFEPractical Life experiences involve the activity and ordinary daily movements performed in the course of living, such as carrying, pouring, washing, dressing and cutting. These activities help develop concentration, independence, fine motor control and coordination.
SENSORIAL ACTIVITIESSensorial Activities help children to develop their senses and powers of observation and are designed to develop the senses of taste, sight, touch, smell and hearing.
MATHEMATICSThrough concrete materials, the child is led to explore and discover numbers. Using colorful objects, math is introduced to children so they can understand basic math concepts, always associating quantity with symbols.
LANGUAGELanguage spans every area in the Montessori environment from verbal skills and visual perception to learning the phonetic alphabet which leads to printing, spelling and reading. |
